HSS CIRCULAR SAW BLADES
The steels normally used in the manufacture of SCHNEIDER circular saws are high speed wolfram-molybdenum (5% molybdenum) steel and high speed wolfram-molybdenum and cobalt (5% cobalt) steel. The first is characterized by low brittleness, high yield point and, accordingly, mechanical resistance and a high degree of toughness and wear resistance. Secondly, it has excellent shear adhesion and hardness thanks to cobalt, and as a result it is especially used for cutting stainless steels or materials with high mechanical resistance that generate high temperatures in the contact area during the cutting process.
These saws are used in manual, semi-automatic and automatic cutting machines, for open section drawn products, round and square drawn products, and pressed and bent profiles of various sizes up to a maximum of 160 mm.
